I started recording this episode a little after 2 o’clock in the morning. I had received some audio feedback from a client, and good friend, named David Doucette. His audio feedback was 16 minutes and 3 seconds in length. Near the beginning of his message, he mentioned that he had three words to share with me that had the potential to change my life in a positive way. Ever since I listened to that message with those three words, I’ve not been able to stop thinking about it what it would mean to me if I were to follow through with the advice provided in those three words.

This is one of those episodes that I will be pointing people to for quite some time! I hope that this will encourage and inspire you to evaluate what you are doing with your time and to make changes so that you are being efficient with the resources that God has given to you.

  • hi cliff!

i'm so glad you've received great feedback from my audio comment. had i known you would air the WHOLE THING, i might have better prepared, but it think it's a good example of just hitting record and letting it roll, i think you're starting to rub off on me.

i'm really thrilled for you and for the outreach of the community and promise to spend more time in the gspn.tv community, you have a lot of support cliff!
  • I'm a blessed man, beyond my wildest dreams!
  • I made some time today to listen to this episode because I was interested in what the three words were. I'm glad I did. It's been encouraging to follow where you've been, where you are, and where you're going. Thank you for being you, friend!
  • I couldn't agree more. I would definitely focus on the content and the consulting. Heck, freeing up the equipment sales may help lead you to your book deal ;) Do the video(s) it's content but think information products. Like the idea of helping consulting clients with equipment, makes sense. best of luck, no matter what you decide. great stuff and will have to check out david's sites and sounds.
  • Thanks for the feedback Stefan. My mind is certainly swirling with a lot of great ideas related to this. I'm certainly cutting out the focus on equipment sales. Will share more in upcoming episodes as I process so many of these thoughts.
  • I'm glad that you made that decision, Cliff. David's feedback makes perfect sense.
I would say that you could potentially lose money if you continue to go full-on with equipment sales in lieu of using that time for further consulting work.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Looking forward to hearing more about this in future episodes and to seeing how this evolves your business and life!
  • I am sure you, and David, are right! It's amazing how freeing it is to know that I'm not going to have to work up "quotes" and "proposals" for every equipment request that comes into my inbox. It was really keeping me off my main focus.

Can't believe it took this long to realize it.
  • Cliff, the "Three Words That Will Change My Life?" episode of your Pursuing A Balanced Life podcast, could be one of those pivotal points, as you look back on your business. Dave did a great job explaining the "how" and "why" behind his thoughts, that he was kind enough to share with you (and with us). I'm glad David was bold enough, with a kind heart, to call you with his thoughts on the equipment selling division of your business. Isn't it funny how these things come about sometimes?

I can understand why you wouldn't be able to sleep after hearing David's call. I pray a few times a week, that God will continue to bless your Ministry through your business.

Thanks for sharing this late-night podcast episode of PABL.
  • Thanks for the comment Wayne. I'm blessed to be surrounded by such an awesome community! That is for sure!
